Firefighters find trapped woman trapped in house

An Oklahoma fire department has found the body of a woman trapped inside a house, a state official said.

State Fire Marshal Jeff Anderson told reporters Monday that firefighters had responded to a 911 call in the town of Lubbock around 3:40 a.m.

Monday about a man who had been found unresponsive inside a home.

Anderson said the fire department arrived on scene and found the woman trapped.

He did not provide details on the manner of death or her age.

The woman’s family members had been notified, Anderson said.

The fire department will continue to investigate, Anderson added.

Firefighters had been dispatched to the scene for an emergency but did not find the body.

The house is on the west side of town.
